This is my first blog post so hello and a BIG thank you for joining me in The Bubbly Talk!
For years now, I have wanted to share my passion for food, cocktails and fun. When I think of the “The Bubbly Talk,” it’s not just catching up with friends over a glass of bubbly, it’s also about living life outside the bubble. Sometimes we get caught going to the same old places or doing the same old things.
One of my goals is to let you in on my new discoveries, hidden gems and to highlight some classics we may have forgotten about.
Some of my posts will feature a neighborhood in Atlanta and my top three picks for what to do, where to go and, most importantly, what to eat and drink!
Other posts will highlight parties, entertaining and my favorites of the season. There is so much to do and I can’t wait to continue my adventures with you.
For example, as summer is coming to a close, here are my top three picks to put on your calendar.
Pool Days
I love hanging out at the pool, soaking in some rays with a cool drink in hand. I don’t discriminate though, give me a lake, river or an ocean and I’m good.
Girls Just Wanna Have Sun!
Enjoy these final weeks of hot weather because sweater season is approaching but I won’t lie, I’m VERY excited for Fall. I’m already pulling together some of my favorites for Fall so stay tuned for that blog.
Cool Patios & Cocktails
Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall
Located right on the BeltLine, this is the spot to relax on a giant, casual patio and watch the world go by.
Running/biking on the BeltLine is fun but watching others do it while you sip on an ice cold cocktail is sometimes better. They also allow dogs on the patio in case you want to bring your buddy along.
I love their take on an Aperol Spritz – the “Seasonal Spritzer” is made with Aperol, Lavender, Honey and Sparkling Wine.
The Lawrence
Located in the heart of Midtown, this is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and they have some really great cocktails. Definitely check out “The Lady Lawrence,” made with Lavender Mint Tea Vodka, Ginger, Cassis, Lime and Soda. Don’t forget that it is near Piedmont Park so if you need a refresher after a nice walk, check them out.
Muchacho
This coffee shop has a cute patio and I like to keep it old school here with a classic Mimosa.
Don’t be afraid to take it to the next level though with a shot of Grand Marnier or dark rum to make it a real Sunday Funday. They have great pastries and other goodies as well. The guava pasteles is my favorite!
Eat All The Ice Cream
Just like when you’re in Italy and gelato is acceptable to have four times a day, it’s “cool” to eat ice cream everyday when the final weeks of summer are here – at least it is ok by me π
My favorite ice cream spots are:
Jeni’s (the Frosé Sorbet is scrumptious);
Morelli’s and
So grab a scoop of your favorite flavor and savor the sunshine.
Enjoy the long weekend and stay bubbly!
