Atlanta Neighborhood Spotlight: Grant Park

Atlanta Neighborhood Spotlight: Grant Park

I am going to be doing some of my blog posts about many of the cool neighborhoods around Atlanta. Each area has its own personality and amazing restaurants, bars and activities to enjoy. I love it when I visit friends and they take me to their special local spots and I have my own hidden gems around town so this is a perfect opportunity to share the wealth! I decided to start with the one I live in since I explore it the most…Grant Park.

Favorite Restaurants, Bars & More in Grant Park

My neighborhood has grown so much in the 5 years I’ve been here and there is still so much more development on the way. It’s very exciting and I cannot wait for more places to come! Here are three of my top picks:

Buteco

This Brazilian coffee shop and bar has only been open for a couple of months and it is the best spot! Buteco serves coffee (really good coffee) some pastries, traditional Brazilian comfort foods and a full bar later in the day. They have indoor seating and outside seating on their patio and they have a covered patio with a big screen TV perfect for watching some soccer.

The name Buteco roughly translates to “neighborhood bar” and I know that this neighborhood is so happy to have them! Buteco is located in the Beacon in Grant Park, which is a new development full of shops and restaurants.

Full Commission

This is one of my favorite new additions to Grant Park, located in Larkin on Memorial. Full Commission offers delicious coffee, breakfast, dinner and has a full bar. The space is bright and beautiful including their covered patio and the food is excellent. I’ve been here a few times and love it more every time. At the moment they have a limited dinner menu but the full menu is coming very soon.

This is the perfect place to work from while having your coffee in the morning or to come to at night for dinner & cocktails with friends. My favorite items that I’ve had so far are the Charcuterie Board, The Southern Breakfast Sandwich, the Pop Tart and the Sparkling Rosé. If you haven’t been yet, go now, I’m sure you’ll become a fast fan and regular customer like me.

Grant Park Farmers Market

My favorite farmers market in Atlanta and one of the best ways to start your Sundays. The Grant Park Farmers Market is a short walk from my house so I love going with my husband and our dog to grab breakfast and fresh produce. There are so many great vendors there and you will be supporting local businesses, which is the best! Some of my favorite vendors are Crepe Masters, they make the best crepes with a variety of different fillings, Revolution Doughnuts because yum doughnuts, Chattahoochee Queen for their gorgeous flowers, TGM Bread and S & J’s Woodfire Pizza.

If you go to the Facebook page for the Grant Park Farmers Market they usually give a rundown of what vendors will be at the coming weeks market including farms, Goods/Crafts and Artisan Foods. The market is kid friendly, dog friendly and so much fun! It’s also right next to the Atlanta Zoo so you could make a Sunday Funday out of it for sure!

Hidden Gems & New Openings

I’d also like to mention Agave which is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Atlanta and a hidden gem that I find people forget about a lot. The food and service has always been top notch and they make a GOOD margarita. Also, a new spot that recently opened in the Beacon called Baker Dude Bakery Cafe. They have breakfast and lunch options and of course sweet treats. The great thing about Baker Dude is that they offer gluten free, vegan, Paleo and even Keto options! I tried one of their vegan cupcakes (blackberry lavender) and it was so tasty, I’ll definitely be back.

Finally, I have been patiently waiting for Ramen Station to open up in Larkin. I’ve been so excited since I first got word of them taking a space here in Grant Park. Rumor has it that today is the big day and the timing is perfect because I love a bowl of hot ramen when it starts to get chilly out!

-Enjoy and Stay Bubbly!
