WESTSIDE: ATLANTA NEIGHBORHOOD SPOTLIGHT

Westside, Atlanta is packed with cool restaurants, bars, and shops and its proximity to the Beltline means its popularity is only going to grow. There is something for everyone here and it is one of my favorite areas to hang out on the weekend or pop in after work. Here are some of my top spots to check out!

Star Provisions Market & Cafe

A beautiful and bright space, with ample seating, this is a place I can spend an entire day relaxing or working outside on a nice day. They have pastries, coffee drinks, a meat and cheese counter, and prepared items. I ordered two breakfast items, the Ricotta Toast and the Everything Bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, onions, cucumber and tomato…both were delicious.

I think this is the perfect place to grab breakfast or lunch and also to pick up food on the go to bring home. They also have the cutest gifts all around so this kept me busy for awhile. If I lived closer, this would definitely be a regular spot for me.

Perrine’s Wine Shop

Let’s not kid ourselves, if I am going to grab some delicious bites from Star Provisions, I have to stop by one of my favorite wine shops for something to pair with it – Perrine’s! This is one of the most adorable stores you’ve ever seen. Established in 2010, it is decorated with a French Provincial style and stocked with Old and New wines.

The owner, Perrine, as well as the rest of the staff certainly know their wines and are always so helpful in choosing the perfect ones for any occasion. They also offer a variety of artisan cheeses, oils, and meats so it can be the perfect one stop shop if you’re looking for a “Wine and Charcuterie Night” at home. Perrine’s also offers regular wine tasting events at the shop. I have been to a couple and not only are they are fun but I also always learn so much! You can visit their website for upcoming events.

So if you’re looking for a new place to get your wine and/or attend some great wine events in Westside, Atlanta then this is your spot. I absolutely love coming to this boutique shop and know you will too.

Le Fat

This Vietnamese restaurant in Westside, Atlanta has been here for several years now and is always an exceptional dining experience. On my first visit to Le Fat, I was blown away with the food – fresh, authentic and amazing. I have been back several times since they first opened in 2015 and it has been just as good every time. Guy Wong has managed to create slightly elevated Vietnamese dishes, as well as some new ones, which are consistent yet fresh. Many chefs struggle with this so I’m so happy that Guy is doing it and doing it so well. One of my favorite dishes here is the Clay Pot Chicken, so dang good!

For adult beverages, look to the cocktail list, especially the Moscow Mule – possibly the best in the city! This is a different vibe from the Buford Highway experience but its convenient location and elevated atmosphere make for a great night.
